It is here😭🩷. “I can’t believe I have to It is here😭🩷. “I can’t believe I have to release this book. How can I release a book called The Love Your Life Project? I can’t do it.”🥺Those were the words I blurted out to a friend as I sat in shock and disbelief in the ICU waiting room the night my husband died.😭 There is no way to accurately describe all the emotions and thoughts that overwhelm every fiber of your being in a situation like that. But I will say that every aspect of a life that was *ours and had suddenly become *just mine played like a really fast movie reel in my mind flashing from one harsh reality to another. The moment my mind recalled the book I had just finished writing, that reel came to a screeching halt… How can this be? This can’t be real and this isn’t fair. How can I possibly release a book about learning to love my life when my husband just died?! I just can’t do it. To be honest, I couldn’t even think of this book for a long while. The title mocked me.🥺But as the months have passed I’ve *very slowly realized that loving my life—one that looks so very different than I ever imagined—is something I am learning to do one small step at a time, sometimes moment by moment. Learning to love life isn’t learning to love the perfect life—what is the point of that?! REALLY learning to love life is facing the reality of whatever life has dealt us and choosing joy anyways. Because as I’ve learned firsthand life’s too short not to love it.🙏🏼 So, today with a *shaky kind of confidence and courage* I am releasing my brand new book written with my dear friend, Karen Ehman: ✨The Love Your Life Project: 40 Days to Prioritize Your Passions, Cultivate Productive Habits, and Refuel with Times of Rest✨ Friend, I don’t know what you are going through in your life right now or what your reality looks like, but I do know this… Life is short. It is too short to live each day wishing for the next instead of being fully present and full of joy right where you are at. Life is *literally* too short not to love it.
